SLOWLY ATELIER · THE STORY
From travelling far to creating closer to home

Still curious
I’ve visited 65 countries and spent years sharing travel stories at A World to Travel. That work has let me discover places, tell stories and accompany groups. I still love travelling. What has changed is the pace and the space other things have in my life, especially since becoming a mother.
Starting closer to home
I wanted to keep learning and exploring while spending more time close to home. Drawing, paper and materials gradually became part of my days. I didn’t arrive knowing every technique or with a perfect plan. I’m still an apprentice artisan: trying things, learning and working out what I want to share in the workshops.
What travel brings to Slowly Atelier
Planning an experience involves choosing a place, thinking about the people coming and looking after the details. That connects with my background in tourism and marketing. At Slowly Atelier, I bring it to creative gatherings: a welcoming setting, a technique to practise, good company and an unhurried pace.
Rooted in Galicia
Our bases are A Mariña Lucense and the Barbanza. Workshops travel across Galicia and western Asturias, in collaboration with venues, libraries, associations and other people. We look for a connection to nature whenever possible. Each place offers different possibilities for drawing, making and enjoying a few hours together.
Making room for real life
Family life belongs in this picture too. Children are welcome at most events, though we need to discuss the activity, ages and space to work out a suitable arrangement. I want Slowly Atelier to feel thoughtful and approachable: an experience you’ll look forward to, without needing to fit anyone’s idea of a creative person.
